Microsoft Azure Data Explorer 30% Better AMD EPYC Processor Performance used for Data Analytics Work. AMD announced Azure Data Explorer, a Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution optimized for real-time data exploration and analytics, offering customers access to Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines powered by AMD EPYC ™ processors.


Collaborating with AMD, Azure compute and Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Explorer services now offer Azure Dav4, Eav4, Easv4 and Lsv2 VM based on AMD EPYC processors for use. The AMD EPYC processor-based Azure VM family enables Azure Data Explorer customers to get up to 30 – 50 percent better performance on data analytics workloads at the same cost. With this performance and efficiency, Azure Data Explorer customers can improve rela-time analytics on streaming large volumes of data from applications, websites, IoT devices and more.
